"Rug-ged America" 80th Anniversary Photo Contest

Karastan is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a photo contest involving some of the top photography schools from around the country.

In keeping with the theme of our “Make a Statement” advertising campaign, we asked top photography schools from across the nation to make a statement of their own by conceptualizing and creating a series of photographs. Each school was required to submit photos of a Karastan rug in three distinct environments:

1) A Residential/Home Environment
2) A Public Place
3) An “American” Setting

Creative, out-of-the-box thinking was highly encouraged. Schools responded with a broad range of imaginative images that embrace iconic times, capture memorable moments, and express specific moods.

We need your help to select the winners!

Everyday, until July 15, you are invited to visit our site and select your favorites (one vote in each of the three categories per day). Winners will be posted on our Website after they have been announced to the schools. The winning schools (one in each category) will be awarded $3,500 in cash. In addition, Karastan is donating a rug to every participating photography school.
